HVACs - Carrier 1.5 - ton

HVAC Units:

Two HVAC Carrier 1.5-ton units are establishing two air-conditioned zones operated via separate Google Nest Thermostats.
One unit is located in the basement utility room. It has a 20x25x4-inch filter, and the second unit is located in the attic has 2-two filters: a 14x14x1-inch filter located in the stairwell hallway and a 10x10x1-inch filter located on the unit plenum, which can be accessed climbing up to the attic via the pulldown telescopic ladder.
All filters “must” be replaced at least every three months, but in my experience, they usually last about two months, especially the 14x14x1-inch filter. This will depend on whether the tenant has pets, lights candles, vacuums, and dust frequently.

I have installed an optional “pre-filter” to catch larger debris. This filter must be vacuumed weekly (at most, every two weeks).
