Backyard Rainwater / Drainage

The property's backyard boasts several rainwater drainage enhancements. Firstly, there is a French drain installed on the back wall of the property, ensuring efficient water drainage. Additionally, two water catch bins located along the left party retaining wall are strategically placed and connected to an NDS Spee-D water channel drain that runs across the cement slab, ultimately leading to a rainwater pipe that directs the water out to the city sewage.

It's important to note that the water channel requires regular monitoring and occasional cleaning to prevent any potential blockages caused by debris. To clean out the water channel drain, remove the end-channle cover located at This proactive maintenance will help to ensure the smooth and unobstructed flow of rainwater, further enhancing the effectiveness of the drainage system.

Spee-D® Channel Drains

Use a leaf blower to vacuum and 3-in-1 Blower / Mulcher / Yard Vacuum with Metal Impeller, which I can leave behind. The D-Channel has a removable end screen that must be cleared by hand to ensure any debris is removed and water drains to the stormwater sewage behind the townhouse.
